This is a very famous appetizer to accompany alcoholic drinks. The freshness of the clams and the spiciness of the seasoning blend together perfectly, making it irresistible.
Ingredients
- Clams
- Dried red chili peppers (3-4), sliced into thin strips
- Garlic
- Soy sauce
- Cornstarch
- Salt
- Cilantro
Procedures
- Cut 2 stalks of cilantro into segments, mince 4-5 cloves of garlic, and slice 3-4 dried red chili peppers into thin strips.
- Boil a pot of water and add the clams. Remove the clams from the water when you see them open up.
- Heat oil in a wok or pan, then add the sliced dried red chili peppers.
- When you smell the aroma of the chili peppers, add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and half a teaspoon of salt. Stir well and then add the clams to the wok, tossing everything together.
- Add the chopped cilantro to the wok and continue stirring.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water until smooth, then pour the mixture into the wok and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the Clam Stir-Fry with Spicy Sauce on a plate.
