
Cumin Lamb

This is a very famous lamb dish, the tender lamb combined with the aroma of cumin, will surely whet your appetite.
Ingredients
- Lamb leg meat
- Onion
- Five-spice powder
- Salt
- White pepper powder
- Cumin seeds
- Crushed peanuts
- Cumin powder
- Chili powder
Procedures
- Slice half an onion into thin strips. Place it in a bowl and add 1 teaspoon of five-spice powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of white pepper powder, and one egg. Mix well, and while stirring, use your hands to squeeze the onion to extract its juice.
- Cut 1 pound of lamb leg meat into small cubes. Add the lamb cubes to the bowl with the marinating mixture and let it marinate for 20 minutes.
- Heat a pan over low heat, add 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 2 tablespoons of cumin powder, and 3 tablespoons of crushed peanuts. Stir-fry the spices until fragrant, then remove from the pan. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and mix well.
- Take out the onion from the bowl of marinated lamb, then add 4 tablespoons of cornstarch to the bowl and mix well.
- Heat oil in a wok for deep-frying. When the oil reaches 270 degrees Celsius, add the lamb pieces. Fry until they turn lightly yellow, then remove from the oil.
- Increase the oil temperature to 290 degrees Celsius and add the partially fried lamb back into the oil. Fry until the lamb pieces are golden on the outside, then remove from the oil.
- Pour out the oil from the wok, and add the fried lamb and the mixed spices. Stir-fry all the ingredients together over high heat for one minute.
- Serve the Cumin Lamb on a plate.
